Vox Reaper was revealed on Friday for Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves during the Summer Games Fest. The newcomer has made his way to Southtown. Not much is known about Vox. However, there are some details within his moveset. Some of his kit resembles Grant’s from the previous game, so there could be a connection to him. His super move does bear a similar look and feel to Grant’s Majin Engetsurin (the kick move). His anti-air Kyou Chou-jin does the same as Grant’s so far, also.
Grant was Mark of the Wolves mini-boss, the guy before the main boss, Kain. Grant was considered the muscle between them and a loyal enforcer of sorts who wore a mask. Players met him in a dark cave-like area under Kain’s estate.
The part that solidifies this further is the fact that Vox’s potential super move has him donning a piece of a mask similar to Grant’s while he does his move. This could probably not be as much of a coincidence as speculation has it. Half of Grant’s mask is in Vox’s possession. This could mean that the mid-boss will be sitting this one out somehow. With SNK promising to make a great story in City of the Wolves, one can only hope to get answers from this. Erik Ransom will be voicing Vox Reaper.
Guess who’s still coming to Southtown
Several characters have been revealed for Fatal Fury City of the Wolves so far. As to who is next, there’s hope in seeing where SNK will take us next. Between new challengers, the original Mark of the Wolves cast, or even some of the other inhabitants of Southtown who’ve participated in previous games, one can only be sure to get the maximum mayhem that SNK brings to this series.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be available early 2025 on PlayStation 4 | 5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC through Steam and Epic Game Store.
