Toys for Bob Teams Up with Xbox for New Game

Toys for Bob, known for developing Spyro and Crash Bandicoot games, has announced that Xbox will publish their next game. The studio revealed the news on social media, expressing their excitement about the partnership. Although the game is still in early development, they assured fans that they are working hard on a project they are passionate about.

Toys for Bob gained fame with Skylanders and later worked on the Crash and Spyro trilogy. However, in recent years, the studio was involved in supporting Call of Duty projects. Earlier this year, the studio went independent from Activision Blizzard. This move fueled rumors about a potential deal with Xbox.

We're excited to announce that we'll be partnering with @Xbox to publish our next new game. We're still very early in development, so you might not hear from us for a bit – but know that we're working hard on an experience we're so sooo inspired about! In a statement, Toys for Bob hinted at their enthusiasm for the upcoming project. They shared an image with a purple heart emoji, leading to speculation about a new Spyro game. The studio stated, “We’re excited to announce that we’ll be partnering with Xbox to publish our next new game.”

The announcement comes amid a backdrop of changes for both the studio and Xbox. Microsoft, which owns Activision Blizzard, recently laid off its staff. Despite these challenges, the partnership with Xbox signals a promising new chapter for the studio.
