Could Breath of the Wild Get A Remaster On Switch Successor?

When the Nintendo Switch launched over seven years ago, there were plenty of hopes pinned on both it, and its “killer app” that came with it, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Both things seemed like “big experiments” that needed to pay off, and thankfully, they both did in huge ways. First off, the Switch was a revelation, as it was a full-on console that you could play ANYWHERE at ANY TIME thanks to its systems. As for BOTW, it was what true open-world gaming was supposed to be in many respects, and that’s why both have sold incredibly well in the seven years since their dual release.

However, fast forward to now, and rumors are swirling that Breath of the Wild could get an upgraded “Deluxe Edition” for the Switch 2.

According to leaker Midori, Breath of the Wild could be getting a new edition on Switch 2.

While unconfirmed, it is interesting to think about. Could this game be a launch title for two separate Nintendo systems? Would gamers buy it so that they could enjoy the “upgraded feeling” and the DLC? Only time, and Nintendo, will tell!
