Nintendo has always had a unique relationship with its fanbase, and that led to them back in 1990 doing the first World Championship competition to see who was the best at their titles. Decades later, the competition came back, and fans were ready for it. But now, in 2024, things are about to change in a huge way. In July, the Nintendo World Championships NES Edition is coming to the Nintendo eShop, and that means you’ll get to put your skills to the test against players from all over the world.
Set across 13 different NES games, you’ll have over 150 challenges to put yourself against, from the basic to the extremely challenging. Just as important, you’ll have the ability to put your name atop the special leaderboards that update every week! You can even bring in friends for up to an 8-person co-op!
As if that’s not enough, you can even get a special Nintendo World Championships NES Edition Deluxe Edition that’ll include art, a golden NES cartridge, and more! Check out the full trailer below!
