The League of Legends fighting game with the strange name – 2XKO(formally Project L) – just released a gameplay trailer for the Kraken Priestess Illaoi. The tentacle summons are screaming X-Men vs Street Fighter Omega Red vibes with space removal in tow. The golden totem allows the tentacles to act as a summon while Ilaoi will deliver some high damage. Rewarding high risks with the tentacle durability, Illaoi is not necessarily a puppet master. The tentacles can be planted and used without her on the field. Adding the tentacles can give Illaoi traps to remove space options from the opponent. The tentacles can be hit to make them disappear.
Her supers are also on display with slams from her level 1, tentacle summons which throw hits all over the stage for level 2, and the massive level 3 ultimate that literally devours an opponent after dragging down several depths.
Riot Game Designer Caroline Montano, from the 2XKO Team dives deep into Illaoi with an explanation of her kit and possible tag team options to capitalize on her benefits.
Evo Japan 2024 will be the testing grounds for the demo on April 27-29. Other characters that will be playable are Darius, Ekko, Yasuo, and Ahri. Attendees can play the demo at the event and give feedback to the team.
2XKO is targeting a 2025 release date for PlayStation 5, XBox Series X | S, and PC.
