Eddy Gordo will be busting a move into Tekken 8 real soon. Introduced in Tekken 3, Eddy brought his unique fighting style to the fold as the first 3D Capoiera combatant in a fighting game. Eddy takes on Azucena to see who really runs South America. Equipped with an Armor Break charge move, Eddy looks more unpredictable than ever on either the high or low end.
It seems as though Eddy seems to have a similar power-up mechanic that Asuka sports, but boosts his feet moves instead, as shown in his Nina Williams fight.
In typical Tekken fashion, it seems as though the only thing useful about guns in this world is the fact that their impact isn’t something to fear if you’re an Iron Fist Tournament hopeful. Gordo dodges Nina’s bullets with ease in their special intro. Gordo’s Rage Art brings out the full mythical Caporiera band while he lays the smackdown on his opponents. Speaking of which, some eagle-eyed fans might see a certain reference to another Tekken character within Eddy’s instrument.
For those who brought the Year One Fight Pass, Eddy Gordo is available today after the current balance patch goes live. Officially, he’ll be joining the King of The Iron Fist Tournament on April 5th for single purchases. Other characters who will be joining him for the Year pass are unknown at this point.
Tekken 8 is available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
