Regardless of what you think the “state of the MCU” is right now, there’s no denying that Disney and those overseeing the Marvel Cinematic Universe have made several missteps ever since the end of the Infinity Saga. Both the movies and TV shows (such as their most recent one, Echo), haven’t been “up to snuff” at times. It got so bad that Disney did a full-on redo of their TV-making process, and that meant doing things from scratch, including with the upcoming Daredevil Born Again.
That may have been a blessing in disguise though, as the revival of the beloved Netflix series ensured that star Charlie Cox would be rejoined by Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson, who played Karen Page and Foggy Nelson in the original three seasons. Many fans protested when Daredevil Born Again was originally designed to go on without them, but that’s thankfully changed, and at Awesome Con, Charlie Cox highlighted how happy he was about it:

While that might sound like him being “sentimental,” he’s not wrong about Karen and Foggy being the “heartbeat” of the show in many ways. Karen wasn’t just a love interest for Matt Murdoch, she was someone deeply tied in all three plots of the first three seasons. As for Foggy, he helped serve as a “moral compass” for Matt, especially when things got dark in the “final season.”
One of the set photos that was posted only showed the offices of “Murdoch, Nelson and Page,” showing that they’re still practicing law and trying to help the little guy. Hopefully, Daredevil Born Again will be as great as the Netflix series was…as that’s what fans are expecting it to be.
