We’ve talked plenty about The Pokemon Company over the last several weeks. After all, they announced a new game via their “Presents” on their anniversary, and the new anime they helped create debuted on Netflix. However, not everything has been positive.
Fans are still bitter about the various “quality gaps” that have hit recent titles, specifically how they affected Gen 9’s main campaign and its two-part DLC expansion. However, there could be potential relief on the horizon—no pun intended.
As noted by ComicBook.com, the team has filed a new trademark for a new subsidiary for their company, and they’re calling it “Pokemon Works.” The “intent” of this new company is unclear at present. However, we know that the newly developed team will be in the same building as the ICLA crew who helped The Pokemon Company develop the Gen 4 remakes.
So, could this team be forged to help “lighten the load” of the main squad so that the quality doesn’t dip again? Or will they be focusing on other things within the franchise? Only time will tell.
