Will The Issues In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Be Present In Future Mainline Titles?

By Todd BlackJanuary 25, 2024
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Legendary Pokemon

If you read my review of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll know the very basic truth about the game from its subtitle: “Broken Yet Beautiful.” I wrote that because while I had an absolute blast going through the game via its story and the expansiveness of the Paldea region, there were parts of it that I couldn’t ignore. Mainly, there were LOTS OF BUGS!!!! Seriously, there were Twitter threads dedicated to gamers posting the bugs they found in the game that were just so terrible it should NEVER have been released without fixing them first!

Then, when the DLC came out, many of those same problems were still there, which is why many are on the side of the recently released Palworld, because they wanted The Pokemon Company to get off their butts and make something that’s quality on ALL levels and not just the ones they felt they could get away with. Well, now, sources within the industry are saying that The Pokemon will do this and ensure that a release like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s won’t happen again:

Andy Robinson from VGC: Pokémon Company took the response to Scarlet/Violet seriously and will be adjusting production for future games.

I hope that's true! Deep down, Scarlet/Violet are good games but the technical issues are unforgivable.

As they say, it’s nice to hear such things…but actions speak louder than words. We’ll definitely be discussing this on the next episode of the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, so let us know your thoughts on these words!
