When the first Super Nintendo World was unveiled, it was meant to be another attempt by The Big N to expand their brand outside of video games. While it did open during the pandemic period, it has since become so popular that it’s gotten built in Japan, California, and soon, Florida. But the goal was never to have it solely be about Mario, it was going to bring in the other franchises, with the first one being Donkey Kong. Today, we’ve gotten the first look at the DK-themed area!
As you can see in the trailer picture below, fans will get to go on a special mine cart ride indicative of the Donkey Kong Country titles. But you can also see other parts of DK Island in the trailer below, which means there will be more to do when it opens. The DK extension will drop in 2024 in Japan, and likely will come to the US soon after.
