Tekken 8 PC System Requirements Are Less Than Expected

By Keith MitchellNovember 29, 2023

Bandai Namco revealed the PC hardware requirements for Tekken 8, and I must say these are very tame. They’re on par or less than those of Tekken 7 when it was released for the PC a few years ago. Based on what I’ve seen, I’m sure most people have purchased or built a gaming PC in the last 5 to 6 years.

Of course, these specs could change, given that Tekken 8 is still a few months away, but I doubt it.

However, what is interesting is that the game does require 100GB of space, while Tekken 7 only requires 81GB on the PC. Visually, the game doesn’t look that much different, but obviously, I’m not developing the game, and the extra space is likely due to some sort of special sauce that Bandai Namco has added under the hoo.

Minimum Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-Bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600
    Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti / AMD Radeon R9 380X
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband internet connection
  • Disk space: 100 GB of available space

Recommended Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-Bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-7700K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband internet connection
  • Disk space: 100 GB of available space

As for the performance of Tekken 8 on the PC, I had a chance to partake in the Tekken 8 CBT, and I was pleased. Unlike Tekken 7, which still experiences hitching ever so often, I found the performance in Tekken 8 to be pretty damned good. Sure, it could have been due to the over-powered PC, but I also played it on my Asus ROG Ally and played well on that as well. That said, I can’t wait to play more of Tekken 8 on the ROG Ally at home and on the go.

Tekken 8 has a release date of January 26, 2024, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While you’re waiting for Tekken 8 to be released, be sure to check out our other Tekken 8 content here.
