Remnant 2 had its fair share of secrets and random events, and guess what? The Remnant 2 – The Awakened King DLC, has a few of them as well. Yep, random events are back, and this specific one is quite the pain in the ass. Because hidden in the Derelict Lighthouse, which happens to be a random location spawn that doesn’t spawn as much as I wished it did, cause of two special items on it—those being the Sparkfire Shotgun and Lighthouse Ring.
But not to worry, as I’m going to show you how to get the better of this DLC and snag these two items.
How to get the Sparkfire Shotgun and Lighthouse Ring
First and foremost, part of this is pure luck, as these items are only on the Derelict Lighthouse location. And as I’ve found out, in my case it doesn’t spawn much. Or maybe I’m just unlucky.
Once you enter the location, you’ll have to find the Lighthouse, which you can see off in the distance. But don’t head to it yet. Before you do that, you’ll see a factory, and hanging around, there will be two aberrations: Thunderpiercer and Gorecarver. One will wield the pizza cutter and the other with a boomstick. This is a two on one fight, so be prepared, though I found the fight to be fairly easy.
For your efforts, you’ll get the Lighthouse Key. With it in hand, head to the Lighthouse.
When you first get to the Lighthouse, a pair of stairs will lead up. However, to the left of it is a path you may not see, that’s to the left. Head to the left and fall down a short opening.
Here, you’ll see a door. As you’ve assumed, you’ll use this key on the door. Except, it doesn’t work. BUT DON’T LEAVE! This is all a trick to get you to waste the key.
Instead, examine the key to see that you can interact with it. This will change the shape of the key and allow you to open the door.
Once you open the door, you’ll see the Sparkfire Shotgun in front of you! That’s one down!
Now, head out the door to your left, follow the ladder up, and then take the stairs up to another ladder. It will take you to a window that you can exit through.
Head through the door on the right and follow the steps up to the top, where you will see another door.
Interact with the key to change it back to its original form. See, had you just gone upstairs, you would have missed out on the weapon, as the key would have been removed from your inventory after this.
With the door open, head to your left, where you can continue on and grab the Lighthouse Ring.
