While Warner Bros. Games and Netherrealm installment of Mortal Kombat 1 is releasing soon, there’s a bit of a snag. We have been made aware that one important feature won’t make it in time for the launch. According to the official Mortal Kombat Twitter account, Krossplay (crossplay) won’t be ready in time for launch, which might be enjoy to cause some people a bit of frustration.
Regardless, the developer has stated that it is hard at work to get crossplay added and will have more info to come at a later date.
Crossplay is an important factor for most video games, especially when it comes to fighting games, as it widens the pool of available fighters. Still, given that Mortal Kombat 1, like the prior games, will have an expansive story to play through. So even if you don’t like the news that will only affect those going online, there’s still plenty to play.
Currently, there’s no ETA on when crossplay will be available for Mortal Kombat 1, but don’t let that stop you from playing the game. Or, if it really bothers you that much, just wait until the feature becomes available.
Launch is just around the corner and we can’t wait for everyone to sink their teeth into #MK1. Regarding Kross-Play, it will not be available at launch, but know we are hard at work at implementing the feature into the game and it will be koming post launch. pic.twitter.com/M8Kvi4QkMe
