Warner Bros. Games and Netherrealm Studios have released the Mortal Kombat 1 launch trailer, yet it’s almost time… to duel. Oh, wrong game. Anyways, with this trailer, we also see some Shang Tsung and Reiko gameplay. I know quite a few people who have been asking for some Shang Tsung gameplay since it was revealed that he’d return.
In addition to this, the trailer also showcases the accessibility options for Mortal Kombat 1, and I’m happy to see that Netherrealm hasn’t skimped out on this. There’s a massive list of accessibility options for players, including audio descriptions and cues for on-screen action that plays contextually during gameplay, including a screen reader, colorblind modes, descriptive audio, more audio feedback options, and more. For the entire rundown of accessibility options, head to the Mortal Kombat 1 Accessibility Features FAQ. By doing this, they’ve ensured that more players who otherwise wouldn’t be able to play the game will be able to. And that’s something I applaud them for.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 19th, 2023, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
