As I’ve talked about, the new MMO Wayfinder has had a rough launch. Since then, the developers of the game have provided some updates about the game. While it was mentioned that the Wayfinder servers had their capacity dropped, they will have them slowly ramped back up.
Wayfinders, we have a server update.
Our tests this morning have been proving successful and we are slowly ramping up the amount of players we are letting into the game.
As you log into the game, you may be placed in a queue. Please note that while the wait time displayed is… pic.twitter.com/7ZbfW6yw18

A queue has also been added, now players will be dumped into a queue instead of being unable to log in. While it isn’t the same as being able to log into the game, at least you won’t be instantly dismissed. Though, I’ve seen some queues last up to six hours and more. The devs have stated that the queue timer isn’t completely accurate, yet the player count is.
That’s a lot of people trying to log in to the game, that’s for sure.
Regardless, I’m confident that Airship Syndicate and Digital Extreme are fully committed to getting the queues shortened while adding more servers so that players can explore the world of Evenorr and start righting all the messed up things. I mean, who takes years to develop a game, only to let it crash and burn? Things will get better, even if it doesn’t seem like it right now.
Wayfinder was released on August 17th, 2023, for the PS4, PS5, and PC after initially being slated to be released on August 15th, 2023.
