Ubisoft has revealed that it has changed the release date of its upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Instead of releasing on October 12th, 2023, the game will now be released on October 5th, 2023.
That’s an entire week ahead of the original release date, and perhaps that’s for the best. Seeing how October 2023 is full of other AAA games such as Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, Lords of the Fallen, and even Nintendo’s Super Mario Wonder. That’s a lot of games to compete with, so perhaps moving up the release date was a smart move.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will feature a character that many have seen before, Basim, who was originally introduced in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This makes sense, as Mirage originally started off as an expansion to Valhalla until Ubisoft changed its plans, and Mirage became a separate game and now takes place in the city of Baghdad.
What’s more, the last few Assassin’s Creed games have been larger than fans of the original games have liked. In this regard, Mirage returns to the city-sized adventure games and will be smaller in scope. According to Ubisoft, this version of Baghdad will be similarly sized to that of Paris in Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage releases on October 5th, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. And if you have Ubisoft+, you’ll be able to play it earlier on October 4th, 2023.
