If you’re a fan of Resident Evil, I’m sure you’ve wondered if Resident Evil 4 Remake would receive a Collector’s Edition. The answer to that question would be a resounding YES, and it shouldn’t surprise anyone. If Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil Village received a Collector’s Edition, it was a good chance that the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake would also receive one.
As soon as the Resident Evil 4 Remake was revealed, Gamestop, which happens to be the only place you could have pre-ordered the Collector’s Edition in North America, put it up for pre-order. I say could, as the Resident Evil 4 Remake Collector’s Edition has been out of stock for quite some time. I was lucky enough to get a pre-order in for myself. Fingers crossed that Gamestop didn’t oversell them. Don’t mind me, I’m still upset that the retailer sold my pre-ordered RE2 Remake Collector’s Edition, despite having it paid off in full.
As for what’s included in Resident Evil 4 Remake Collector’s Edition ($249.99), there’s quite a bit:
- Steelbook Case
- Deluxe Edition DLC
- Digital Resident Evil 4 Remake Soundtrack
- Leon S. Kennedy’s figure
- Artbook
- Special Map
- Collector’s Box
The Collector’s Edition looks like it will be the ultimate prize for any Resident Ean, but it’s sold out everywhere. The only other place to snag this is on eBay, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re ready to pay 2x-3x of the actual store price.
However, if you just want the steelbook case, you can reserve a copy of RE4 Remake at Best Buy, and receive one as a bonus.
If you are ok without receiving that amazing statue and the other goodies, or weren’t able to score one, then you can also purchase the Resident Evil 4 Remake Deluxe Edition
Here’s everything that’s included in the Resident Evil 4 Remake Deluxe Edition:
- Casual and Romantic costumes for Leon and Ashley
- Hero and Villain costumes and filters for Leon
- Sentinel Nine and Skull Shaker deluxe weapons
- Sporty sunglasses
- The ability to swap the Remake’s soundtrack to the original Resident Evil 4 soundtrack
- The Treasure Map: Expansion, which unlocks additional treasures not found on regular treasure maps
Resident Evil 4 Remake, won’t be a 1:1 remake of the original game, as Capcom has made several changes, releasing more information as we get closer to the game’s release. Resident Evil 4 Remake releases on March 24, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
