Cygames and ArcSystemWorks have announced a new entry into the GBVS series – Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising. The reveal at Granblue Fantasy Fes 2022 – 2023 came with a trailer that included some exciting news.
The biggest news of all is the confirmation of rollback netcode. In recent years, the inclusion of rollback netcode has been the number one priority for many fighting game players, and Granblue Fantasy: Versus was repeatedly criticized for its lack of rollback.
This confirmation comes as fantastic news to fans and anyone with an interest in the game. Alongside the new characters and new actions, the trailer also confirmed other great features, such as new story mode content and cross-play between the PS4, PS5, and PC (Steam). The last part is a great way to ensure that the player pool always has someone playing the game.
In a separate trailer, Cygames also confirmed a brand new gameplay mode: Grand Bruise Legends. A new party game that can be played online with a vast number of players. This new mode is available as its own dedicated online mode. Grand Bruise Legends reminds us all of a certain game, and hopefully, this mode will offer just as much enjoyment!
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising currently has no release date, but it’s set to come out in 2023 for PS4, PS5, and PC (Steam).
