The first movie starring Shazam is a curious one regarding its success. On the one hand, it didn’t make as much money as many of the other DCEU films. Even the recent one in Black Adam (read our review!) did better than it financially. However, in terms of critical praise, it’s one of the best-reviewed DCEU movies since the run started. So take that as you will. However, even with that mix of results, it got a sequel that was supposed to come out next year, then went to this year, and now is back to next year via Shazam Fury of the Gods.
The movie has already had its first trailer, and now, star Zachary Levi dropped the first poster for Shazam Fury of the Gods and reaffirmed its release date.
Mark your calendars, y’all! @ShazamMovie ! Fury of the Gods – wiser, stronger, faster, funnier, I mean, overall, cooler than the rest (and did we mention ✨humble ✨ 😏💅) coming ATCHA only in theaters on March 17. #ShazamMovie 2 #ElectricBoogaloo pic.twitter.com/p41xrFc4XG

As you can see, the “big red cheese” is hanging loose while in the middle of a godly storm. We’re sure everything will be fine for him when the movie comes out next March.
