When I headed out to E3 in my younger days, one of my biggest frustrations was worrying about making my way through the crowds of people. Or having my equipment knocked down by a random person. However, at least for E3 2023, those are a thing of the past as the upcoming Reedpop x E3 event will feature separate days for industry & media, and consumers. E3 2023 will also take place from June 13 through Friday, June 16, 2023.
According to the press release that was sent to us earlier today, E3 dates June 13 – 14 will only allow those from the business side of things. Industry, media, and content creators, which are being dubbed “Business Days. While E3 dates June 15-16, being called Gamer Days, will allow consumers to make their way into the event so they can join in on the fun. This is fantastic news, and I hope this ends up being how E3 is conducted for the foreseeable future.
Throughout the show, specific halls and spaces will be reserved for registered game industry professionals, including developers, publishers, distributors, and the gaming media. When consumers join the celebration on June 15, spectacular booths and a dedicated theater offering deep-dive looks at highly anticipated titles await.
It was also mentioned that media registration for E3 2023 will begin in December 2022. Confirmed exhibitors, hotel and travel guides, event schedules, and more will be shared in the coming months. If you’re looking to snag a media, content creator, or industry badge, be sure to follow E3 on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Back in July 2022, it was announced that E3 2023 would return as a physical event, thanks to some help from Reedpop. Despite E3 being on the decline for the past few years and everyone calling for the event to be dead. It would seem that Reedpop has swooped in and will be putting in considering resources to attempt to bring back the former king of gaming events. Reedpop and the ESA have been listening to the chatter about what happened with E3. What people want to see changed and are moving forward with some ambitious plans.
Now that we know the dates, we can all start the mad dash to locate a place to stay during the event. Wish me luck!
