Capcom has confirmed that four of its classic Street Fighter characters are being added to the Street Fighter 6 roster. During the Tokyo Game Show 2022 Capcom Showcase, Capcom revealed that Blanka, Dhalsim, E.Honda, and Ken Masters (my personal favorite) will be playable in Street Fighter 6. This brings the roster up to 11 characters so far.
And yes, while these characters were already leaked some time ago, it still doesn’t make the news any less exciting. Especially since we finally got a chance to see these characters in action. So far, these characters are looking amazing and, for the most part, look like they’ll play as their Street Fighter 5 versions, with some updates. For example, Blanka has this new move where he electrifies a Blanka Chan toy and moves toward the opponent while giving Blanka a chance to perform a cross-up. It’s pretty damned adorable as well.
What’s more is that of these four, Ken will also be playable in the upcoming Street Fighter 6 Closed Beta that is taking place next month.
Street Fighter 6 is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X|S in 2023.
