While fans of fast and furious futuristic racing games were looking forward to the release of Redout 2, they’ll have to wait now. Today, over on the Redout 2 official Twitter account, it has been announced that Redout 2 has is now delayed until June 16, 2022. The title was initially scheduled to be released on May 26th, 2022.
The reason for the delay is that the developer, 34BigThings, wants more development time for the title.
This will help ensure we’re firing on all cylinders out of the gate and delivering the best gameplay experience for everyone. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to racing with you all soon!

Of course, no one likes when a game is delayed, but as we’re seeing that more developers have been delaying titles and I’m ok with it. We’ve seen what happens to titles when they could do with more development time and instead are rushed out the door. It’s bad for the developers, the publishers, and of course, us, the people who buy those titles. So, if 34BigThings needs more time, I’m ok with that and should you as well.
Redout 2 is the follow-up to the 2016 futuristic title, Redout and just like the prior game, is a homage to the past futuristic titles such as Wipeout and FZero. Redout 2 will include the following;
