The world of Pokemon has been shown in various ways over the years, not the least of which is through the very popular video game series. But, animation has also been a boon for truly bringing the world of Pokemon to life. And after the success of Pokemon Legends Arceus (read our review!), The Pokemon Company decided to go and bring the newly revealed Hisui region to life with an animated miniseries of its own. Its official title was given out in a press release today, and it’s called Pokemon Hisuian Snow.
The story will be in three parts and focus on a young doctor named Alec. He and his father, a woodcutter, visited the Hisui region previously, but now Alec must return to find some medicinal herbs. His encounter with Pokemon will focus on the Hisui region’s version of Zorua. A Pokemon that has become a being of malice due to the hate that was born between people and Pokemon and the former’s attempts to hurt the latter.
Another key piece of news is that the miniseries will be done by none other than Wit Studio. The team behind the first three seasons’ of Attack on Titan, as well as Spy X Family. So the quality should be quite high. The first episode will premiere on the Pokemon YouTube channel on May 18th.
