Taking into consideration that 12 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which includes Xbox Live Gold) costs $191.40 AUD annually, the PlayStation Plus tiers look pretty reasonable. However, a price increase of $55 AUD for PlayStation Plus Extra and $75 for PlayStation Plus Deluxe (from the Essentials Tier, which is the current PlayStation Plus yearly pricing) is a bit much for Australians who are already living in a time of the worst cost of living increases in decades, as well as lowest wage growth in decades, so I would still recommend looking into either having Xbox Game Pass Ultimate OR PlayStation Plus Extra/Deluxe… or you could just save a few bucks and skip PlayStation Plus Deluxe (Saves $20 AUD annually) by doing something like jailbreaking old PS3 (and other) consoles instead?
