Well, this bit of news we’re covering is just scummy and that’s putting it lightly. It’s not unusual for Twitch and YouTube streams to host giveaways, in order to attract people to their channels and increase their following. They get the following and people get the goodies, so it’s an equivalent exchange. However, it seems that not everyone is up for being fair. Twitch streamer Kiapiaa made it aware that Artesian Builds, has pulled a fast one and is letting the internet know of this behavior. We happened to pick up on what has transpired and we refuse to let companies such as this get away with their nonsense.
Here’s some content for you. Artesian Builds hosts a monthly giveaway for its ambassador’s program. The only way you can become an ambassador is to meet one of its requirements. Kiapiaa is already part of this ambassador program as she was already vetted by Artesian Builds. Meaning that by the company’s own standards, she was eligible for winning stuff from the livestreams. She followed the rules and had the affiliate panel in her Twitch profile as well. However, on the recent Artesian Builds livestream, the company decided to pull a fast one and denied Kiapiaa the PC that she actually won.
What made things worse, is when Artesian Builds’ CEO, Noah K., belittled Kiapiaa on the live stream. Mocking her and claiming that 2K followers is “Under his threshold”. Can you imagine being told that you’re eligible for a program to win stuff, that was based on your social following on various networks? Only to be told indirectly that you aren’t important enough to win something? That’s exactly what had happened here.
The way he talked about her is just insulting, and instead of stopping, he continued on. That’s just terrible.
The reason.. LIKE WHAT? Sorry not everyone has money for a PC. ITS EXPENSIVE! So condescending. @ArtesianBuilds do better. I earned that PC. This makes me feel like I'm not a good streamer. (cont.) pic.twitter.com/pc8EDycP6B

Noah K.’s reason for skipping over Kiapiaa was due to her not having a single click on her affiliate box for Artesian Builds. Keep in mind that she has zero control over this. Anyone who comes to her streams must click on that box, not the streamer. There’s also no mention of this being a requirement on the Artesian Builds ambassador page for winning anything.
It just seems like this change was made on the spot, and likely due to Kiapaa not having the massive following that Artesian Builds wanted. That’s pretty damned scummy if you ask me. Perhaps they should add this onto the page — which at this time, still doesn’t show up anywhere. Leaving them with even fewer legs to stand on.
Kiapiaa isn’t taking this laying down and instead made it known that she was cheated out of a very expensive PC. Which is how we got wind of this issue. Artesian Builds must have also caught wind of this, and decided to offer a lame-assed apology. You can see this apology, if you can call it that, below.

I love the part where they say “We’ve given a lot of people a lot of awesome free tech and that’s not going to stop.” Clearly, they forget the mishap they just made. The thing is, Kiapiaa met the requirements for both the program and was eligible to win that PC. Instead, she was mocked on the live stream. By the CEO of the company, no less. Doesn’t sound like Artesian Builds knows what it wants to say, other than we want free advertisement and if we don’t like what we see, we’ll reject you.
That’s not fair at all to Kiapiaa, or anyone else who’s been screwed over by these guys. I’ll be honest, I’ve never heard of Artesian Builds before and now, if I was asked to recommend a company to go to for a gaming PC, it sure as hell won’t be these guys. I will not support people who have demonstrated predatory tactics, and that’s what they have done. To Kiapiaa, I am sorry this happened to you. You didn’t deserve this humiliation, especially not on that livestream. The entire Artesian Builds should feel terrible about how they treated you.
Give it to them, Kiapiaa. You may wanna check with the FCC on this as well. Something about bait and switch may go along those lines.
Update – Popular YouTuber Jayztwocents has reached out to Kiapiaa and will build her a new PC. I’m glad to see that some positivity came out of this negativity. Good for you, Kiapiaa!
