When it was announced that Sora would be coming to Super Smash Bros Ultimate, fans were excited, but Masahiro Sakurai revealed that there was something else coming. Square Enix was going to bring the entire Kingdom Hearts franchise to Nintendo Switch…via cloud versions. This was met with mixed reactions because fans definitely wanted it on the Switch, but they would’ve preferred native ports versus cloud gaming. Especially since previous cloud gaming ports were a bit mixed in quality via Hitman and Control.
All that being said, the Kingdom Hearts Saga has now been dated for the Nintendo Switch, and a beautiful trailer reveals that indeed every game from the saga (outside of Melody of Memory which is already on Switch) is coming via this all-in-one cloud game. That includes the main three titles in the saga, along with Chain of Memories, Birth by Sleep, Dream Drop Distance, and everything in between.
Kingdom Hearts Switch Cloud edition arrives on February 10th, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch, thanks to the power of the cloud.
