While I didn’t expect to see anything Elden Ring-related during The Game Awards 2021 show, Bandai Namco and Fromsoftware had other plans and have revealed a new trailer for the game. Unlike the prior trailers, this one is focused on the story.
Fans of Dark Souls, Demon’s Souls, and Bloodborne all know that those games had some amazing lore, but trying to connect the story bits required some effort. This is why we have so many amazing YouTubers covering the story for us, and we’re all the better for it. With Elden Ring, things are going to be different, thanks to the story being co-written by George R.R. Martin. That’s not to say things will be clear as far as the story goes, however, it will be less convoluted than usual. At least that’s what we’re hoping for at least.
Now, I’m not going to spoil anything for you. Instead, you’ll have to check out the trailer for yourself.
After having a short time playing the Elden Ring network test, I can’t wait to get my hands on the full game. Despite being a huge Dark Souls fan, once I was able to dive into Elden Ring, I haven’t stopped thinking about it. Oh, Elden Ring, I need you back in my life.
And yes, that lady does have two faces, but there’s a reason for that. You’ll have to wait until February 2022 to find out why.
Elden Ring is still scheduled for a February 25, 2022 release date for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
