Famitsu has revealed the first information of the new Neptunia game that was teased only days ago, now called Hyperdimension Neptunia: Sisters vs Sisters.
From what the article says it appears it will be a new entry into the series and not a crossover or a collab like the past games have been. The story revealed so far is that the CPU candidates Ram, Rom, Uni, and Nepgear have been woken up out of a deep sleep. They are not sure how they got into this deep sleep, but it seems like it may have been an individual who has forced them to sleep. They have discovered the world has been taken over by a new device called a Magiphone. The Magiphone bears a resemblance to a smartphone, and people are glued to it throughout the game.
This is a real-time combat game where you have a party of three characters. You can only control one, but the other two characters will be fighting as AI. You can switch to them at any time to give them actions or skills to do, or just to take control of them on the battlefield. You can use a combo or tactical skills with your party. There will be a dedicated gauge that will deplete as skills are activated. It has been confirmed that these will be brand new character models for the CPU candidate characters.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Sisters vs Sisters will be released April 21st, 2022, in Japan for PlayStation 4 and 5. The article has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 version will support haptic feedback for greater immersion.
