Kirby and the Forgotten Land Gets New Info View ESRB

Kirby and the Forgotten Land Review

There were a lot of interesting reveals in the last Nintendo Direct that happened a while ago, but one that made many happy was the reveal of the next true Kirby title via Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The reason for this is simple, the game looks and plays much differently than the mainline Kirby titles. In this case, the world is a bit more open instead of a side-scrolling adventure like before.

We haven’t heard too much info about the game itself outside of its first trailer, but the ESRB has already given its rating and gave the following details about the title:

This is an action-adventure game in which players help Kirby save kidnapped creatures from evil forces. Players traverse 3D platforms while collecting coins, solving puzzles, and using Kirby’s abilities to battle cartoony enemies (e.g., mushrooms, foxes, giant turtles). Players use swords, bombs, and blaster-type pistols to defeat enemies; some weapons allow players to use targeting/crosshairs for ranged firing. Boss battles can be frenetic, with laser fire, explosions, and projectiles flying at Kirby, often from a close-up perspective.

While it’s not the most enlightening description, it does prove that Kirby will have a mission while in this mysterious land, and there are fun battles to be had. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is coming out in the Spring of 2022, so stay tuned for more info!
