Fresh of the 15 minutes of Elden Ring gameplay, and with the Elden Ring Closed Test Network dropping this month, now we get to talk about the five playable classes that will be in the network test. Yesterday, the Elden Ring Twitter account released two screenshots of those five playable classes.
- Prophet
- Champion
- Bloody Wolf
- Enchanted Knight
- Warrior
Some of these classes have me interested in checking them out, including the Enchanted Knight. Which by the name suggests this is a mixture of a melee class with magic to supplement its ability. While the Champion, Warrior, and Bloody Wolf seem to be straight-up melee users. This is all speculation on my part, and I don’t have early access to the network test; I wish I did, so I don’t have any solid info. Of course, like Dark Souls, no class is ever just one thing, and Elden Ring being an RPG, players will be able to mold their characters any way they deem fit.
I’m looking very forward to getting my hands on the Elden Ring Closed Network Test. Assuming I get invited, as you’ll have to get picked to get access. I won’t say how many times I’ve applied on so many different mails, but I want to play this beta.
Elden Ring is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for those who haven’t been following Elden Ring. The game is a collaborative effort between game director Hidetaka Miyazaki and fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin. While the game may look similar to the Dark Souls games, with many calling it Dark Souls 4, there’s more to it. The gameplay has seen some changes, such as riding a mount, dungeons that can be found while progressing through the game storyline and is less linear than the Dark Souls games. The game also has a significant emphasis on customization and exploration, unlike previous games from Fromsoftware.
Elden Ring will be available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, on February 25th, 2022.
