While it may have been a rough start, the DC Comics movie universe seems to be growing at a steady pace and expanding the roster of characters even more. Such as with the Blue Beetle movie that’ll debut on HBO Max. It’ll star Xolo Maridueña (whom you might know as Miguel from Cobra Kai) and it’ll be directed by Angel Manuel Soto and written by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer.
DC Fandome brought these three together to talk about what the film will be like and they dropped some teasers that are important for what the film will be like. They emphasized that this will be a realistic story about a Latin-American family trying to live in America and then Jamie Reyes gets the Blue Scarab and everything that comes with that.
And we even got a concept art for the film, including showcasing the first look at the Blue Beetle outfit. And you might recognize a very important name in the background…
The Blue Beetle Movie is set to start filming in early 2022.
