During the Xbox Gamescom 2021 live stream, Xbox and Playground Studio showed off new footage of Forza Horizon 5 in action, and it looked amazing.
This game, just like Forza Horizon 4 before it, gives us a rundown of the different areas that will be playable in the game. Starting on the edge of the Gran Caldera volcano in the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands, then transitioning to the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray as it tears up the road in the Mexican Farmlands. Then we get a glimpse of some off-roading with the Porsche 911 Desert Flyer making its way through a dense jungle, with the best saved for last. A high-speed finish with the Mercedes-AMG Project One.
I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve watched this video, and I definitely plan on watching it again a few more times. If you have access to a 4K TV, please give it a watch, and you’ll be drooling just like I was. Now, if only we knew when the Forza Horizon 5 demo is being released to experience this all for ourselves.
Along with the new gameplay, which is super sexy, the cover art for the game was shown for the first time. While the previous images were just placeholders, now we get to see the cover art in all its glory. And wouldn’t you know it, it features the showcase car for the game, the Mercedes-AMG Project One. Like previous Forza Horizon games, the showcase car always gets top billing, which is no expectation.
Bask in the glory of the Forza Horizon 5 cover art while we wait for Forza Horizon 5 to be released. While you’re doing that, be sure also to check out the Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition controller that we covered here. Since it is a limited edition controller, you know it’s going to sell out quickly, so be sure to jump all over that.
Forza Horizon 5 will be released on November 9th, 2021, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Windows, Steam). I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to get my hands on the game.
