This year and next are going to be big for superhero movies and properties. We’ve already seen a slew of TV shows and films from both Marvel and DC comic out, and next year (with hopefully the pandemic 100% gone…we pray…) the release schedule will be packed with highly-anticipated films. Not the least of which is the Black Adam movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. This movie has been a dream of his, and very recently it wrapped filming.
Ironically, the producer behind Black Adam is also the producer of The Rock’s upcoming film Jungle Cruise, and on the red carpet for its premiere, he talked about a moment that’ll resonate with him forever, when he saw The Rock in the official garb of the character:
“There’s moments, you know my friend, as a filmmaker where you’re like, ‘I’ll never forget that.’ When he walked out in that costume, it was… Oh, 100%. This was a baby, one of our special babies. Not only was I there, but I was also making sure I was gonna capture that moment on camera to make sure that we never forget that,” Garcia said. “You’re gonna be blown away when you see it. He’s a walking superhero. He’s been preparing for this role for I feel like over ten years, so to see it come to life in front of you. It was magical, man.”
At present, we’ve only seen teases of the character’s outfit, but more than likely we’ll see more of it as it draws closer to its July 2022 release date.
