It was announced via Square Enix’s Monthy Shonen Gangan magazine’s Twitter account that Hiromu Arakawa’s Fullmetal Alchemist will be receiving a special YouTube special to help commemorate the series’ 20th anniversary!
The special is set to air on July 12 at 10 PM Japan standard time / 7 PM EST.
Romi Park, who voiced Edward Elric, and Rie Kugimiya, who voiced Alphonse Elric, will join the program and reflect on the series and share their memories of it.
While it seems like a trip down memory lane, an interesting tidbit was revealed that “the latest information on the series will also be revealed.” Take that for what you will but it certainly is a rather interesting statement to make for a manga series that has long since finished and had two television anime adaptations along with several movies.
