There have been a LOT of rumors about the Nintendo Switch since it came out in 2017. Some of them have been game-focused, but many of them have been about the rumored “upgrade” via the Nintendo Switch Pro. This thing has been rumored for YEARS now and yet…we have no indication as to whether it is real or not.
Now, a Q&A from Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa has come out and a loose translation about his “comments” about the Nintendo Switch Pro have been given:
“We carry out Nintendo Direct to convey information on individual products to our customers at the right time. We will continue to stick to Nintendo’s unique play proposals, and in order to accomplish that, we will continue to propose play with game machines integrated with software, and we would like to grow the company. To that end, we are constantly developing hardware, software, dedicated peripherals, etc. We will refrain from commenting on products that are currently under development,” said Furukawa.
So…in short…we still don’t know if it’s real or not. And it likely won’t be that way until it’s announced.
