A Nintendo Direct and Treehouse on the same day.
After seeing most of Twitter ask what was going with Nintendo’s for E3 2021, the company made its plans known. On June 15th, 2021, Nintendo will host a Nintendo Direct at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT.
According to the tweet, the event clocks in at 40 minutes and will focus “exclusively on Nintendo Switch Software” that is releasing in 2021. Following that, there will be a 3-hour long Nintendo Treehouse live stream. We’ll more than likely hear and see more on Mario Golf: Super Rush and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, as both games are slated to be released this month.
🗓 Nintendo at #E32021: 6/15, 9am PT!
Tune in for a #NintendoDirect with roughly 40 minutes of info focused exclusively on #NintendoSwitch software, mostly releasing in 2021, followed by around 3 hours of gameplay in #NintendoTreehouseLive | E3 2021.

Now, I don’t want to read too much into this tweet, but that’s what I do. Interestingly, they felt the need to specify “focused exclusively on Nintendo Switch software.” Reading between the lines, Nintendo is aware of the Nintendo Switch Pro rumors that claim the company is working on a new Nintendo Switch.
So far, Nintendo has done nothing but deny these rumors for months, but it could all just be a smokescreen. But if Nintendo isn’t going to talk about hardware, that means one of two things; either it will be announced before E3 2021, or they simply aren’t working on it.
Nintendo Switch Pro aside, I’m crossing my fingers that Nintendo finally gives us an update on Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3, and maybe F-Zero. Yes, I’ve said I gave up on some F-Zero announcement, but I lied. I’ll never give up.
So be sure to save the date; I’m sure Nintendo has something up its sleeves – they normally do.
