PlayStation’s Jim Ryan wasn’t kidding when he said PlayStation was looking to bring more titles to the PC. With Days Gone already released, many were wondering what the next game would be, and thanks to PlayStation’s recent Investor Relations report, we now know what that game is; Uncharted 4.
On the 26th page of the report, a slide detailing new growth vectors for PlayStation Studios. On that slide, the PC is shown, as are the two PlayStation-released games; Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone. Alongside those two games is Uncharted 4, a game that hasn’t been announced for the PC. And even though it is listed in this slide, it hasn’t officially been announced and could easily be a mistake. Yet, somehow I doubt it is – a mistake that is.
Still, it is listed, and as mentioned prior, PlayStation does like the idea of pulling in new fans to their existing IPs – that’s also listed on the slide.
What does this mean? Well, we could see Uncharted 4 being announced for the PC sooner than later. As for Uncharted 4 coming to the PC, I’m all for that. It was one of the games I was hoping PlayStation would bring to the PC.
Now, all I can think about is the segment where Nathan and Sully are fleeing in a truck. It’s easily one of the best segments in the game and can you just imagine that on an ultrawide screen monitor? Oh yeah, I’m salivating already.
Honestly, just seeing PlayStation porting over PlayStation 4 games to the PC still doesn’t feel real. We’re talking about a company that refused to implement cross-play until they basically had no choice. A company that traditionally didn’t like the PC and felt threatened by the neutral party. Now, look at PlayStation, casually bring over titles to the platform, and reaching PC heavy markets. Again, it’s a win/win for the company and gamers, despite what some naysayers tend to believe.
But seriously, where’s bloodborne?
