Grand Theft Auto 5 has been a powerhouse ever since it was released back in 2013 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It has since made its way to the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Now, surprising absolutely no one, GTA5 is making the jump to the Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5 on November 11th.
In addition to the upgraded version to the base game, Grand Theft Auto Online will also be receiving a completely standalone edition with its own set of upgrades.
Rockstar has not explicitly said what kind of upgrades these new iterations will see or how they will utilize the added power of the next-gen consoles just yet. But with a handful of months left before as well as E3 on the horizon, it likely won’t be long until they give us a bit more information on the next phase of Grand Theft Auto.
Grand Theft Auto Online is still going strong after nearly eight years. In 2021, it is still frequently within the top 10 of games concurrently being played on Twitch. Needless to say, GTA is still going strong with no real end in sight.
Both upgraded versions of Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto 5 will drop on November 11th. This will undoubtedly make the titles’ chokehold on the diehard fans even tighter as even more platforms will soon be supporting it.
