Does having an award show after a pandemic shut down movie theaters world wide make sense? Well, don’t think about it too hard. This year’s winners were surprising, with some disappoint in the big winners (really, does Anthony Hopkins need more awards? At least give it to Chadwick), and some hilarious moments. Yuh-Jung Youn’s win for best supporting actress, and her subsequent flirting with Brad Pitt, some of the great speeches from the winners of the documentary and animated shorts, to Glenn Close twerking (yes, it did happen), it was a night to remember.
