Ah, Tom Holland. If ever there were a celebrity more infamous for spoiling stuff before its time, Holland is sure to have them beat soon enough. But Marvel and Disney are playing that to their advantage. First, it had Holland and his two co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon post fake titles on their Instagram, building up the buzz. And today, finally, they revealed the official title — Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The video follows the three actors outside of the office of director Jon Watts lamenting that they, again, got a fake title. As the walk away, we see the real title written in a whiteboard. And on the board itself, you can see the other names that were “in the running” for the title. Gotta love a good visual gag:
Beyond these three, we know that both Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx will be returning as Doc Oc and Electro, respectively. There have been rumors circulating that Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield would be returning as web-slingers from another universe, but Holland has seemingly shot that down in an interview with Jimmy Fallon:
“It would be amazing if they were [in the movie], because they haven’t told me that yet and I am Spider-Man…I’ve read the script from beginning to the end, so it’ll be a miracle if they could’ve kept that from me. But, at the moment, there is no cameo from the two boys.”
Still, would they tell this infamous spoiler-man anything if they could get away with hiding it? Or is this Holland’s chance to prove he can be trusted with secret plot details? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Here are some of the hilarious other fake names and logos Tom Holland and his castmates teased:
Spider-Man: Phone Home
Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker

Spider-Man: Home Slice
(This one is my favorite!)
Even the actor who plays Flash Thompson got in on the fun:
I dont have a graphic but Spiderman: Ese Homie was what I was told the title was.
