We have a bit of an update with the development of the newest title in the Skate franchise. An entirely new studio is being founded dedicated to the fourth entry in the beloved skating simulator.
The Vancouver-based studio is headed by former Xbox Live lead, Daniel McCulloch. In addition to McCulloch, Deran Chung and Cuz Parry–both of whom served as integral creative leads for previous Skate titles–will be joining Full Circle. The company currently has a bevy of open positions as well that range from technical art director to progression designer.
A new Skate game was announced to be in development in June 2020 during EA Play 2020. Nothing was shown from the title and based on the number of positions that still need to be filled for the new studio, it can be assumed we may not see gameplay anytime time soon.
Fans have berated EA with comments of “#skate4” for years before the official announcement. Cuz Parry even acknowledged during the initial reveal that the fans, “commented this into existence.”
