Another character has been announced for the hotly anticipated Guilty Gear Strive by Arc System Works. Series staple Anji Mito returns once again, donning some new threads and a general design overhaul. You can check out his reveal trailer below.
Anji’s core mechanics Guard point is also back. Key signatures attacks like his J.D (Jumping Dust) and his 2H are back as well. Though we saw a glimpse of his butterfly projectile, we are unaware it maintains it’s high block stun properties compared to his previous games GGAC & GGAC+R.
Anji Mito serves as the 14th character revealed of the 15-strong roster that will be initially available when the game releases in just a couple of months. The final character in the base roster will be revealed in a similar trailer in February 2021.
Guilty Gear Strive is being developed and published by Arc System Works and is set to release on April 9, 2021, for PS4, PS5, and PC. A closed beta is also planned and one that we’ll be checking out, assuming we get access to it.
