Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” heads to homes this December 2020

By Keith MitchellNovember 5, 2020
Christopher Nolan's Tenet

If you’re like me, you really wanted to see Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” in theaters, but you were also wary of Covid-19 and didn’t want to risk your life to see a movie. Despite the looming danger of the pandemic, several studios, including Warner Bros., were ignorant of both the danger and the poor sales that would come of it and released Tenet in theaters. While I heard it was a good movie, I also heard that it didn’t do well at the box office.

Now, Deadline has reported that Tenet will head to homes on December 15th, 2020, via Blu-ray, DVD, and VOD. I guess that part about the movie not doing well was on the money. This follows the approach that several studios have followed ever since Covid-19 started being pushed to the forefront. Despite Tenet being delayed multiple times, I was expecting Warner Bros. to give up and skip theaters altogether.

While it took longer than it should have, the good news is that audiences who couldn’t wait to see the latest Christopher Nolan’s masterpiece will be able to soon. Hopefully, this will send a signal to several other studios, such as Disney, who are still holding fast to a belief that Covid-19 is coming to a halt. The studio has delayed several films, including “Marvel’s Black Widow” and “Marvel’s Eternals.” Both films were scheduled for a 2020 release date.

It looks like I’ll be in the market for a larger TV to enjoy this on. I wonder what TCL or LG have gotten in my price range.
