Sir Sean Connery, the prolific actor, passed away on Halloween Day, 2020 at the age of 90. Connery’s passing is being attributed to natural causes at this time.
“We are all working at understanding this huge event as it only happened so recently, even though my dad has been unwell for some time,” Jason Connery, his son, said. “A sad day for all who knew and loved my dad and a sad loss for all people around the world who enjoyed the wonderful gift he had as an actor.”
The Scottish actor is best known for his portrayal of fictional MI6 spy James Bond, starring as the character in seven films. But Connery’s filmography is a long and storied one, including such beloved films as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Hunt for Red October, The Name of the Rose, and Dragonheart. Connery stopped working on films in 2012, with his last live-action appearance being 2003’s The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
As with an actor who has worked for so long in the industry, and with so many iconic roles, there has been a serious outpouring of grief. Here is how some have remembered him and celebrated his life:

Sean Connery was a movie legend, even far into his golden years. Our strongest Bonds were formed by him, and he was Untouchable. He passed today at age 90, a suave hero to the end.

Saddened by the news of the passing of Sir Sean Connery. A wonderful man who I had the pleasure of working with in Time Bandits. We crossed paths many times over the years. Such immense talent and a vibrant human. And the only one of us to find The Holy Grail. pic.twitter.com/sNo4NtB6af
