During today’s Nintendo Treehouse: Live showcasing the re-release of the beloved Wii U title Pikmin 3, it was announced that a demo for Pikmin 3 Deluxe would be available for download later this evening; a specified time was not disclosed. Save data from the demo can be transferred to the full game. In addition, those who complete the demo can immediately start the retail release in ‘Ultra-Spicy’ difficulty mode and will also receive ‘other perks’.

The showcase itself didn’t reveal much we hadn’t known already. Confirmation of motion-controls being included may the biggest tidbit of information as many players, including myself, have found that it’s the ideal way to play a Pikmin game.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe is being developed and published by Nintendo for the Switch and is due to hit store shelves on October 30, 2020.
