A busy week of speculation, due in part to a convenience store ad of all things, has caused the Smash community to go a little stir crazy. Fans can finally settle down as Nintendo has announced that a new fighter will be revealed tomorrow at 7:00 AM PT through a 3-minute video.

Unlike previous reveals, there haven’t been any major leaks that have gained traction as to who the new challenger could be. However, a leaker in 4chan by the name of Slayersfan has hinted that Tracer from Overwatch may be the newest inclusion in the crossover-fighter. Their track record is impressive with accurately leaking a couple of event skins from Overwatch before they were officially revealed. Nintendo and Blizzard’s relationship has also been the best it has been in years plus, with Overwatch 2 being on the horizon, I’m sure Blizzard wouldn’t mind the extra media coverage.
Regardless, we won’t have to wait long. In less than 24 hours we’ll have confirmation as to who the elusive character will be. All I know is that I’ll be crying—again—when a Rhythm Heaven representative continues to be ignored.
