Previously, Disney announced that anyone who is a Disney Plus member could watch ‘Mulan’, they’d have to pay extra to the sum of $30 to watch it. This rubbed people the wrong way for obvious reasons – why pay more on top of a subscription fee? As such, Disney is going to make Mulan viewable for Disney Plus members who don’t want to pay extra, but they’ll have to wait a while to do so.
Disney’s Live-Action Mulan will be available for all Disney Plus subscribers without the price tag on December 4th, 2020. This is a three month period, so you’ll have to ask yourself if $30 is worth waiting three months.
When Mulan does arrive on Disney Plus, it will viewable in 1080p or 4K HDR, as well as featuring Dolby Audio.
As for me, I’m old school and I still enjoy the original animated Mulan movie and I’m still upset that Mushu, the lovable pint-sized dragon voiced by Eddie Murph, isn’t in the Live-Action movie. Don’t even get me started with the enjoyable musical scores being removed. The live-action Lion King and Aladdin were mostly intact, but the number of changes to Mushu is troubling. I understand the reasoning as to why this was done, I still will continue to hold on to the original.
I suppose when I finally watch Mulan in December, maybe my opinion of the movie will change.
Mulan arrives on Disney Plus on September 4th, 2020, and will include a premium fee of $30 to watch it. Or wait until December 4th and enjoy the movie with your current Disney Plus subscription.
