The Nintendo Switch is a worldwide sensation…even though it’s not on sale worldwide. That might sound counter-intuitive but in all honest there are some countries who can’t or won’t (China) sell the Nintendo Switch without serious effort being put into it. One of these countries who have been suffering without the Switch is Brazil. But Nintendo has revealed that this will soon be changing.
They made a post on Twitter stating:
Greetings to all the Brazilian Nintendo fans out there! We’re excited to announce that #NintendoSwitch will be coming soon to Brazil!

It’s unclear why Nintendo decided to go and choose now to bring the Nintendo Switch to Brazil, but it’s possible that they see a way to further expand their reach and their sales numbers. Recently, it was revealed that the Switch had sold over 61 million console units. And there are over 200 million people in Brazil, so even if a small fraction of that decided to go and get a Switch? It’d be a big boost to their sales no doubt.
