Cyberpunk 2077 is perhaps the biggest game to be released in 2020 and has been eagerly awaited by most of the gaming community. Sadly, it looks that we’ll be waiting a bit longer as the developer, CD Projekt Red, has announced that the game is being delayed yet again. It will miss its September 17, 2020, release date and is being pushed back two months, to November 19, 2020.
For those who have been following the game know that this is the second time that CD Projekt Red has delayed the game this year. Originally it was slated to arrive in April. So why is it being delayed again?
Well, it’s quite simple; the developer want’s to make sure the game is as perfect as it can be. More polish is needed and thus the delay.

So yes, it is a bummer that the game has been delayed again. However, any game that’s worth delay due to more polish and to make it the best it can be is worth the wait. That said, this delay does pose an interesting coincidence. Cyberpunk 2077 is now delayed until November 2020, which is right around the time that both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are going to be released. Could this also be a tactic to wait for the next-gen consoles? I doubt it, as CD Projekt Red doesn’t have a reason to lie to anyone. Still, it is an ironic twist.
In the meanwhile, a limited amount of lucky gaming journalists will be able to try out Cyberpunk 2077, to provide feedback. It appears we’ll see previews and impression pieces on or after June 25, 2020. Sadly, we don’t believe we’ll be among those, so we’ll be watching from outside just like many of you.
That said, are you disappointed about the delay or does it not bother you? Sound off in the comments and let us know!
