Sure, we’re all stuck inside because of the coronavirus, but have no fear! Our Disney overlords are here to bring us good news so we don’t fall into the pits of despair. Namely, that everyone’s favorite Jedi from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka Tano, will be making a live-action appearance in The Mandalorian. And we even have an actress lined up for the role: Rosario Dawson.
According to SlashFilm, the former Jedi apprentice will make her appearance in the show’s second season, though we don’t yet know how or why. It makes sense for Ahsoka to make an appearance on the Disney+ show; Dave Filoni co-created Ahsoka and is also a writer, producer, and director for The Mandalorian. Whether her appearance means that other fan favorites like Thrawn are also on the way, it will be cool to see Ahsoka in live-action, since the character has only ever been animated.
The Mandalorian Season 2 is set to premiere on Disney+ sometime in October 2020.
